The range on the Uniden was once rather short (compared to my outdated 900 Mhz one) and the battery issues have been getting on my nerves!!!! The handsets would not stay charged and to replace the batteries- they have been an order merchandise. This Panasonic phone does hula hoops around my DECT 6.0 Uniden!!! Twice the vary and guess what? The batteries are replaceable Ni-MH AAA style!!!! I love the talking caller ID (which that you may be ready to edit the 'said' name if it is in your contacts). Just an all around nice telephone- comfy, stable, and more features than you may imagine- all of the manner down to turning off the show whether it is sitting in it can be cradle- a nice characteristic to have it is for your eveningstand. Want to do away with the tone should you press a button? No downside-- there's a menu toggle for that- Want to set the unit to silent mode for a pair hours while you take a nap? No drawback-- there is a function for that!!! Want to set an alarm- bet what- you beted it- there is a characteristic for that!!!
