The monitor lit up, but the battery was now not absolutely costd. Oddly, the reveal mentioned "SEARCHING." I positioned it into the cradle. No exchange. I positioned it into the cradle of the primary phone. No alternate. Hmmm. I idea maybe it just needed a full charge. I discarded the field, considering it will work after a full cost. The manual stated let charge for 15 hours. After 15 hours, I tried to register the phone again. No exchange. The display still says "SEARCHING"... forever! I'll be requesting an RMA number and -- if that fails -- I'll have to work right away with Uniden to replace/fix this piece of trash. It can be a nice cellphone if it may work. UPDATE: I mounted it! Sadly, the guide that ships with this accessorry does now not embrace the RESET instructions. If the handbook had included that data, it would possibly have saved me a quantity of grief. But after waiting a couple of months for it to arrive from Amazon, I cancelled the order, first verifying with Uniden that their DCX150 handset was once suitable with good previous "Loud & Clear." I obtained the DCX150 in 2 days and saved myself thirty bucks (it may be 50-60 dollars when you decided you simply had to have the EZX290 from some supplier instead of Amazon).

I wish I might say it used to be smooth crusing from there on, however that used to be now not the case. Since the DCX150 is not going to match on the base of the EZAi 2997, you must reconfigure it. Ordered on-line from any other company, then discovered it less expensive at my native Target. Nice cellphone for my aged mom - listening to aid, lighted keypad, big keys, lightweight. My mom has hassle putting receiver precisely on her ear - this could be higher (like the previous landline phones!), but there could be an identation that assists, greater than on most moveables. Also, the bottom unit can work with out power, a key feature for us with familiar power outages. We've tried many cellphones, this appears one of the highest.
